    Planner - Maintenance Control Center (MCC)

    Reporting to the General Manager, Penta Aviation Services is hiring a Planner for their Maintenance Control Center to assist with pre-project research/quoting, planning after the contract is signed, and client/in-house support after aircraft induction.

    Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sales in researching aircraft data as required
  • Assist Sales with review of Customer tracking system status reports
  • Establish communication with Customer, as primary contact until aircraft induction
  • Evaluate any additional items that Customer may request to determine if re-quote is necessary. Liaise with Production Leads to evaluate impact on project deadline.
  • Perform/Facilitate preliminary troubleshooting for any aircraft operational issues to ensure as much technical data can be collected by the time aircraft arrives
  • Review Work Order Preview from Sales, and make necessary terminology adjustments to clarify for Production department
  • Review Customer provided package and cross-reference to contract
  • Raise necessary Aircraft Service Orders (ASO)
  • Collection of necessary parts data and order
  • Extraction of relevant panel removal data from MPD, organize into a file for the Leads
  • Sorting of task cards in relevant "Zone" and "Sub Zones".
  • Brief Production on upcoming work scope. Advise of any "special" needs for the project. (i.e. parts that need to be sent out right away, critical chronological order need for certain tasks, whether a/c requires de-fueling,… etc)
  • Assist Production with research of various tasks, SB's, AD's
  • Ensure all data is archived and backed up as necessary
  • Any additional duties as assigned by direct report.

    Skills:

  • Must have a full understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Technical and Control Systems, particularly for the Challenger and Hawker airframes
  • Must be organized and thorough to ensure all packages are complete, and timely
  • Strong Computer Skills familiar with the use of Windows Word, and Excel
  • Strong Communication skills with Customers (internal and external)

  • Experienced AME's

    Penta Aviation Services is now accepting applications for Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME's) with at least two years experience with Corporate Jets including (but not limited to)Bombardier Learjet and Challenger as well as Hawker 125 products.

    Technical Skills:

  • M2 Category License (or FAA/JAA equivalent) is mandatory
  • Experience in aircraft periodic inspections and heavy inspections
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret Technical Publications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical drawings and blueprints
  • Diagnostic skills requiring sound knowledge of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, aircraft structures and basic applied mechanics
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills are critical in handling challenging and complex aircraft system malfunctions and discrepancies. Includes mechanical components, engines, hydraulic systems, flight control systems and fuel systems
  • Capable of performing hands-on duties such as: disassembling aircraft systems, removal of defective components and installing replacement parts, components and structures
  • Comfortable with handling aviation chemicals such as jet fuel, engine oil, skydrol and MEK

    Other Qualifications:
  • Experience performing a large variety of tasks relating to many aspect of aircraft maintenance and can think on his/her feet
  • Possess a positive attitude
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and communication skills
  • Ability to be a team player with diverse personality types and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and seek answers if unsure about a specific task
  • Understanding that our industry and our customers have high demands in efficiency, quality and safety.

  • Maintenance Personnel are responsible and accountable for the quality of their work and for the performance of their assigned tasks
  • AME's report to the Production Manager and directly to their assigned Lead AME
  • Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends and some shift-work based on workload schedules
